Founder and Director of Fashion Palette – Sonya Mefaddi

SONYA MEFADDI – Founder and director of Australia’s Fashion Palette, set to change the face of Australian fashion and be one of the most influential fashion industry events in the world.

Graphic designer turned business tycoon Sonya Mefaddi is the visionary behind Fashion Palette; an Australian organisation which provides up-and-coming fashion designers and all Australians the opportunity to meet with and learn from some of the most successful fashion industry leaders and designers from around the world.

At the 2009 Australia event hosted by MTV star Ruby Rose, guests can expect to hear from the likes of Peter Morrisey, Mimco, Jessie Hill, Daniel Herman and many more.

Mefaddi’s up-and-at-em attitude has brought built her career to where she is today: “I have always been hungry for inspiration, ideas, creativity and community” says Mefaddi.s

It was at a graphic design conference in 2007 where Mefaddi’s vision for Fashion Palette was born: “I saw Fashion Palette as an opportunity to combine my love for fashion with my passion to teach and inspire others by creating this unique, Australian first event for the fashion industry.”

Mefaddi has spent the past two years working all hours to bring Fashion Palette to fruition: “I have dedicated a tremendous amount of time to see this project come to life. Getting started was the hardest part but it didn’t take long before the project gain so much momentum, there was no looking back – everything has just fallen into place.”

Sonya’s infectious enthusiasm for this event and the industry has resulted in many organisations, fashion brands and industry figureheads jumping onboard to help create this world first for the fashion industry.

General Manager – Crystelle Topatan
Crystelle Topatan has worked in the Events and Marketing Industry for 10 years, with over 4 of those years being in her own marketing business. Crystelle has a clear passion for helping people get their message out to the big wide world, having promoted and currently promoting such speakers as Peter Morrissey, Anthony Robbins, Dr.John Demartini, Donald Trump, Amir Zoghi, Christopher Howard, John Burley and many more. Above and beyond the speakers and events she has promoted Crystelle has worked in Professional & Personal Development Publishing, Educational Publishing, Legal Publishing and Marketing Specific Environmentally Friendly products & services, she has had a wealth of experience.

With Crystelle’s career being based around Education, Entertainment and Development she has been fortunate enough to attend and soak up the knowledge of many inspirational and life-changing speakers she has promoted in her career. A graduate of Anthony Robbins programs, an Christopher Howard NLP Master and Quest for Truth Experience Graduate she has had access to a wealth of knowledge that not all have had the honour of having access to.

Having a passion for inspiring and educating others Fashion Palette is a perfect fit for Crystelle. With the vision of Fashion Palette being to give back to the emerging Fashion Designers of Australia Crystelle is very excited to be on board. She will help to create a new platform for the industry to get involved with and take the experience of the event to a new level every year.
