In the short two years since its beginning Kate Vandermeer has created a new era in online browsing with her website stylehunter.com. Having been around the fashion block a few times Kate is no stranger to the industry. After finishing a fashion merchandising degree at RMIT she dived into working with the big guns such as Mogil and Mimco. It was then she felt there was a need for online fashion catalogues and it was her job to fill the niche.  With a desire for journalism and a passion for fashion stylehunter.com was born.


Kate is passionate about the fashion world online because it is always “current and dynamic” with faster trend reports and more up to date news then print online can be easily called the future of fashion journalism. Kate really feels “this is where the industry is going to go”.

The website stylehunter.com is a monthly online magazine which features look books from an array of designers. Kate says “We try to keep a mix of different designers, buyers these days aren’t brand loyal”. The website also sends out weekly email updates to keep the reader always in the know.

Kate is humbled to be speaking at this year Fashion Palette and cannot wait to rub shoulders with the other speakers. “It will be an honour to meet Peter Morrissey, and I think the boys from Insight will defiantly be entertaining”

Kate’s experience in the industry gives her much to offer to the delegates at the Fashion Palette conference, this woman is not to be missed. She will be speaking on Day 1 at 3:30pm.
